Technology is 5% of the exam and centers on information: modeling it, sharing it, and acting on it. BIM leads — a digital model of a facility's physical and functional characteristics. The dimensions extend it: 4D links schedule, 5D links cost. Level of Development marks maturity: LOD 350 coordinates across systems, 400 is fabrication-ready, 500 is as-built.

Around the model sits the project's information infrastructure: a Common Data Environment as the single source of truth so every stakeholder works from current documents, and a PMIS centralizing schedule, cost, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Field technology earns its keep in data capture — drones for progress documentation, aerial survey, and volumetrics; GIS for spatial tracking across large programs; digital twins as live connected models that carry into facilities management.

The judgment layer: performance dashboards and threshold alerts turn project data into proactive risk detection — flagging deviations before they become cost or schedule damage. The exam favors technology answers framed around better decisions, not gadgets.
